- Avoid stressing it

- Open mouth breathing
- Increased respiratory rate and effort
- Nasal or ocular discharge
- Respiratory infection, heart disease, pneumonia, heat stress, foreign body
- Oxygen therapy
- Fluid therapy
- Removal of foreign body
- Radiographs may be required
