Workplace Giving 

Workplace giving programs make it simple and easy for employees to be involved and contribute to charities of their choice.

Workplace giving enable staff, customers and shareholders to make regular and once-off donations to community organisations. Some organisations have matched giving where staff donations are matched dollar for dollar by the employer.

A major benefit of workplace giving for employees is that donations are deducted from your pre-tax salary. When you make a general donation to a charity you would normally claim it as a tax deduction in your annual tax return. Through pre-tax payroll giving the Australian Tax Office allows you to claim the benefit up front each pay.
