Hard rubbish puppies reunited 15/07/2018

Six canine siblings were reunited at the weekend in a tail-wagging get-together.

The staffy-cross pups were found in November in hard rubbish at Hoppers Crossing — abandoned at just one day old and lucky to survive.

Bottle fed and hand raised, the dogs are now thriving.

Eight months later, their six loving families thought it a milestone worth celebrating.

Serena Horg, general manager adoption centre, where the abandoned animals were originally taken, said they were over the moon to see the puppies in loving homes.

“We were absolutely inundated with applications and we’re so pleased to know we couldn’t have chosen better carers for the puppies.”

“They’re all utterly devoted to raising these puppies.”

Lort Smith credits the rehabilitation of the six pooches to the much-needed donations they receive from the public.
