Established in 1936, Lort Smith Animal Hospital is one of the largest not for profit hospitals in the world, providing quality care for over 100 abandoned, mistreated and sick animals every day of the year.

We provide high quality veterinary care at reduced cost for the pets of people in need as well as injured, stray and lost pets that have no-one to care for them.

We function just as a human hospital does with:

• 8 consulting suites
• 4 surgical theatres
• a large dental and small procedures room
• 16 animal wards
• Intensive care unit
• a wildlife and exotic pet unit and
• xray / ultrasound equipment

For routine, non-urgent cases, appointments are required to avoid unnecessary waiting periods.

Emergency treatment is available from 8:30am until midnight.
