Types of Wills

A charitable bequest can take a variety of forms, including:

• A specific dollar amount

  The exact amount of your Estate you wish to leave us.

• Residue-whole

  After you have allocated specific bequests, the residue (remainder) of your Estate will be left to us. The value of your gift will not be affected by inflation.

• Residue-percentage

  After you have made specific bequests, a percentage of the residue (remainder) of your Estate will be left to us. The value of your gift will not be affected by inflation.

• Specific item

  You may wish to leave a specific gift, for example property, shares or artwork.

It is recommended that you discuss your wishes with your solicitor.

If you choose to leave a gift in your Will to Lort Smith our form of wording may be useful to you, your solicitor or trustee company.
