One of Louisa Lort Smith's greatest qualities was her ability to
get things done for the animal cause. She never gave up her
fight for animal welfare and the hospital in her name is
testimony to that. As we follow in her tradition we
continue to be true to our vision mission and values,
crafted on Louisa's strong example.

Lort Smith Animal Hospital maintains its mission to
provide quality care for lost, abandoned, mistreated, sick
and injured animals, and to support people of limited means and
provide care for pets of people with special needs.

In the future, as in the past, we will be forever dependent upon our supporters
and volunteers and I thank all those who enable us to "keep our eye on the ball".
With them we remain committed to the cause in the spirit of our founder,
